BYUtv to Rebroadcast Championship Game
Provo, UT–Following BYU’s 2nd National Championship two weeks ago, BYUtv will be re-broadcasting the Cougars championship efforts on its national network of over 60 million homes.
BYUtv will air the BYU’s victory over Arkansas State this Saturday at 8am MT. The network will also re-broadcast the game online and on-demand on BYUtv.com
Due to no small effort from BYUtv’s administrators to obtain the rights from ESPN and KSL-TV BYUtv is looking forward to hosting rugby on its network again.
“We are excited to bring the national championship match to the BYUtv audience for those who want to see it again or see it for the first time,” said BYUtv Sports Producer Jarom Jordan, “As soon as the team won the title we knew this was something we wanted to pursue. BYU rugby’s excellence is something Cougar fans will enjoy.”
BYU head coach David Smyth spoke highly of BYUtv’s willingness to re-broadcast his team’s championship.
“We’re very grateful for BYUtv,” Smyth said, “This team is a great example of BYU and the BYU-experience and we’re very glad a national audience will have a chance to see that.”
Since its launch in January 2000 BYUtv has been committed to providing uplifting and entertaining programming that enables its viewers to see the good in the world around them.
The primary source of programming found on BYUtv comes from the activities and educational resources of Brigham Young University and its sponsoring institution: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
BYUtv is available to over 60 million homes through direct satellite broadcast services and cable and satellite providers. BYUtv is also available live and on-demand via internet streaming at BYUtv.com.

A day late and a dollar short.
I’m curious to find out why BYU and UofU weren’t in the National Sevens Tourney this year????? That was some of the worst sevens I’ve seen in a long time…. Would have been nice to see some boys who knew the game actually playing sevens the right way! I’m not a BYU Rugby fan but man you guys have some amazing backs & flanks!!!!! Would have been fun to watch you guys tear it up like you did in the national championship.
All the Best
Craig
BYU wont play on Sundays so no invite. Utah did not sell enough tickets. Each team is supposed to sell 300 tickets. Its a shame a bs tournament gets o much attention.
Pathetic that they have one of the worst sevens tourneys on a Sunday….. Sounds like a good excuse for them to keep BYU from winning the Seven’s tourney as well…lol! Just saying.
